The Fiori DB 560T Transit Mixer has been developed for applications where a simple, reliable and efficient transit mixer is needed to haul concrete and download it on jobsites such as tunnels and underground mines.
“This machine is ideally suited to those applications where concrete or mortar needs to be moved between load and download points”, said Semco’s Graham Murphy.
“Equipped with a 180 degree rotating operator station, it is ideal for tunnels and underground work. An optional hydraulic actuated rear shutter seals the drum to prevent loss or spillage of the mix on adverse gradients. This option is a real benefit for the slurry and sloppy mortar mixes that are required for some specialty applications like shotcrete or revetment mattress pumping.”
“Its design is based on the highly acclaimed and well established DB460SL model, but with an extended wheel base. The DB 560T retains the hydrostatic drive with four speed ranges, all wheel drive and three steering modes for extremely good maneuverability in confined jobsites.”
“The Fiori DB 560T offers users a safe solution for mix handling where space is limited and turning a vehicle around is also a challenge in confined areas”.
“The operator station can revolve 180 degrees, so the operator is always facing the direction of travel. This is especially important in outfall tunnels, for example where a machine may have to reverse a long way since there is nowhere to turn around,” Murphy said.
The DB 560T also has a 300 litre onboard water reservoir and pressure operated cleaning hose system for the operator to adjust water content and for washing down. Carrying capacity is 5.5 cubic metres, increasing to 5.8 cubic metres when the optional hydraulic hatch is fitted. A ladder system similar to those used on road mixers is also supplied to allow the operator to safely inspect the mix.
The first units will be available for delivery ex works Italy in December and are fitted with the latest low emission Tier III Perkins diesel engines.
