NEW HOLLAND EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM ADDS TO E SERIES APPEAL

(November 2009) — With the total value of construction work in the private sector expected to remain at a high level in the year ahead, having the right equipment on hand is a vital consideration for contractors looking to make the most of any future opportunities. To support contractors, New Holland Construction’s versatile and powerful E-Series mini-excavator is now even more appealing, with an extended warranty available on all machines purchased before 31 December.

The Australian Industry Group forecasts that the total value of construction work done by the private sector will reach $91.2 billion in 2010, which is 20.8 per cent above the level of 2007. This represents an almost four-fold increase on the previous low point of 2001. In particular, the residential sector is expected to rebound by 35 per cent in the coming year, while building activity is set to increase by 16 per cent in the education sector, health and aged care.

“All things considered, the industry is set to grow and contractors need to ensure they have the equipment on hand to meet any future business opportunities,” said New Holland Construction’s, Keiron Thompson.

“However, given the ups and downs the industry has faced in recent times, there’s still a sense of caution, with contractors seeking security from their investment in new equipment. To support the industry, we’ve developed a new plan, which offers up to four years warranty on all new E Series mini-excavators purchased before the end of the year.

“The Extended Service Plan (ESP), which extends the warranty period to four years or 4,000 hours, brings peace of mind during the life of the machine, further adding to the appeal of these compact, powerful and maneuverable mini-excavators,” Keiron said.

ESP requires all services to be completed according to the operator’s manual using genuine New Holland Construction parts, lubricants, oils and coolants. Major services must be completed by an authorised New Holland Construction dealer, and operators can choose to do all other services in their own workshops.

However the program brings more than just peace of mind. “Because there’s an official record of the machine’s service history, ESP makes it easier to sell and therefore operators are more likely to receive a higher trade in price on the equipment,” Keiron added.

With six models ranging from 6kW to 30kW in power and from 1 to 5.5 tonnes in operating weight, the E Series mini excavators feature zero tail swing, making them ideal for use in tight spaces such as on residential sites. The machines also come into their own on larger worksites. With their powerful, reliable engines enabling them to push, dig and move more material per hour than previous models, they’re the perfect choice for use on larger projects in the education, health and aged care sector.

For comfortable, easy operation, contractors can move between high and low speeds at the push of a button, while the valve pattern can be changed from excavator to backhoe, allowing anyone to get in and operate the machine. The cab is also wide and roomy, making it easy to step on and off the platform with ease.

“All round, the E Series is the ideal machine for use right across the market, which is good news for contractors who want to maximise their chances of securing new contracts in the year ahead,” Keiron said. “And with the ESP warranty bringing peace of mind for the next four years, it’s a good time to gear up for growth.”
