Digga is Australia's largest fully integrated manufacturer of machinery components, attachments and now mini loaders.

The Kanga mini skid-steer range of machines has models ranging from the “Kid” or 2 Series to the heavy duty 8 Series, and will remain fully Australian designed and manufactured at Digga's state-of-the-art 12,500m² facility at Yatala, Queensland. From there it is distributed directly to the Australian dealers as well as to the USA, UK, South Africa and New Zealand markets.

Design features of the Kanga range of mini skid-steers include self-levelling arms; increased bucket dump and roll back angles; and the ability to keep the arms fully lowered. It also has heavy gauge steel fuel tanks with enough fuel capacity to give up to three days operation and a low centre of gravity on all machines for extra stability on slopes. No Kanga machines have counterweights; this means neutral weight distribution and enhanced digging performance.

All have large hydraulic reservoirs with pressure and return filters and thermostatic oil coolers. The machines incorporate an ergonomic design, providing better operator comfort and protection when working in confined spaces, and a simple control layout, with soft touch controls giving less finger reach and fatigue.

Kanga skid-steers also use an auto auxiliary cut-out system, which shuts off the auxiliary power should the operator leave the machine, and has greasable linkage pins and bushes with a 1500hr replacement life.

Kanga’s model line up has the largest wheel/tyre combination in its class, ranging from an 8” heavy duty wheel combination on the 2 Series to the 12” heavy duty “Bobcat size” wheel combination on the 6 and 8 Series. These wheel/tyre combinations offer the best ground clearance, pushing power, traction, machine approach and departure angles, rough terrain performance and load carrying stability.

All Kanga mini skid-steers are four-wheel drive (no drive chains) and have pushing and pulling power from 380kg in the 2 Series to 1011kg in the 8 Series. The 8 Series also has a two-speed transmission.

The design has no overhung load on the wheel motor shafts; and the wheel load is placed directly over the wheel motor bearings, ensuring long life and giving seals protection from damage and entanglement.
