The release of Wacker Neuson’s new range of compact excavators and skid steers is set to give the local
market quite a shake-up, according to the company’s Managing Director, Andy Evans.
“Wacker Neuson’s Compact Equipment range, with the excavators and skid steers leading the charge,
are already having quite an impact of the market. And that’s just in the last month or so, as product has
come on-stream locally.”, Andy said.
Big range and maximum versatility
The Compact range currently covers skid steers with payloads from 510kg to 1150kg, and includes both
wheeled and tracked variants. Engine power ranges from 27kW (on the 501s model) to the 63kW
powerhouse 1101c and 110cp. All the machines feature comprehensive Level 1 ROPS/FOPS protection.
Innovations, such as “Powerride” - automatic load sensing ride leveling - and “Powerflow” - increased
hydraulic power in three additional lines for high-demand attachments - are available on selected models
in the range.
Although the full Wacker Neuson range of excavators has 16 models, the Australian line up inc ludes
seven models, from the diminutive 803 (with the most powerful engine in its weight class) to the powerful
7.5 tonne 75z3. Both the 803 and 1703 models are ideal hire and small contractor machines, offering
versatility and power in small, light packages. The 28z3, 38z3, 50z3 and 75z3 are all “zero-tail” machines,
offering no superstructure overhangs - ideal for confined working environments. The 2003VDS model is
fitted with the amazing vertical digging system (VDS). The tiltable superstructure inclines up to 15° and
compensates for gradients up to 27%. Digging vertical trenches on sloping or uneven ground just got
dramatically easier!
Precision engineering, innovation and serviceability
“In the crowded Australian marketplace, price has been a key factor for a long time. Sound engineering,
quality manufacture and serviceability have tended to take a backseat all too often. With these new
machines, Wacker Neuson ticks all the boxes - innovative design, sound engineering, quality materials,
European manufacture AND, above all else, serviceability- while staying price-competitive.” Andy added -
“Wacker Neuson is proud to be launching these machines into the Australian market. They’re a natural
extension to our traditional light equipment range, and we know our customers will welcome the chance
to buy Wacker Neuson”.
Dealer network
The rollout of the range will begin on the Eastern seaboard and Victoria initially via the Hewlett Equipment
network, with locations in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney and Melbourne, and the additional location of
Bendigo, serviced by Bendigo Excavators
